    Projects in the Narnia workshop are creating Aslan the lion, sculpting the white stag or unicorn, creating a beautiful crown and also a throne while talking about the kings and queens of Narnia, and also creating a lamp post or white stag painting using atmospheric perspective. Ebook Art Adventures in Narnia and recipes for Cinnamon tea and Turkish Delight included. For children 8 years old and up.

  • Art Nouveau and Recycling Art Party with Walter Crane

    Students will do 4 art projects but show several other projects such as an hour glass from a plastic bottle, using recycled materials. Learn how to do a portrait, glue recycled things around it creating an art nouveau portrait poster; create a flying machine, & a steampunk horse. Also make a throne of recycled materials like the famous Throne of the Third Heaven of the Nations' Millennium General Assembly currently on display at the Smithsonian. Ebook included.   • Art of Marriage Seminar - Getting to the Heart of God's Design for Marriage

    Marriage the way God intended it to be, is a true art form. The Art of Marriage® weaves together expert teaching, real-life stories, humorous vignettes, and more to portray both the challenges and the beauty of God’s design. THE ART OF MARRIAGE SEMINAR WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, MAY 16 ONLY - beginning at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 4:30. The seminar will have the same schedule as FBA and the rest of the convention on Saturday. Price is per couple.

    Hands-on activities, projects, and experiments help children better understand and apply concepts. In this Make-It and Take-It workshop, see how to include engaging lesson activities in each subject. Come ready to learn and make a math facts game, spelling word sort, and a model of a hand skeleton. Take home these and other ideas you can easily use with your children.

    The science fair is open to homeschool students grades K-12. All participants will display their projects & judging will be at the Kansas Homeschool Expo May 15-16. Deadline to register & submit project topics (which must be approved) is 2/20. Cost to participate is $25.00 for an individual & $50 for groups. Set up is May 14. Judging May 15 at the Expo.     After the Expo a link will be emailed to you so you can download the complete set with all the featured speaker sessions and workshops from the Kansas Homeschool Expo! These downloads are a great way to listen to workshops you were not able to attend or rehear a workshop that was encouraging to you following convention. Downloads will include the full convention recording set except for the Art of Marriage seminar.
