CPR and First Aid Training

Oct 5, 2019 - WSU Tech South Campus

About

A CPR/First Aid class for homeschool high school students has been scheduled by Teaching Parents Association (TPA). This class is also available to Trail Life and American Heritage Girls (AHG) troops across the state of Kansas and registered leaders of those troops. Homeschool High School Students can satisfy the Kansas state recommendation for CPR and First Aid training with this training (certification not required). While homeschool students are not required to meet the Kansas Public School curriculum requirements, Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) and TPA recommend that homeschoolers meet similar requirements, including this new CPR requirement. Knowing how to save a life simply makes sense. AHG and Trail Life Youth can use this American Heart Association (AHA) certification for their respective First Aid badges. AHG Pioneers and Patriots and Trail Life Navigators and Adventurers from any troop in Kansas may participate in this important and fun certification. AHG and Trail Life Adult Registered Leaders can fulfill the activity requirements for CPR certified adult supervision with this AHA certification. Registered Adults from any troop in Kansas may participate to get this certification. This training will be provided by LifeSaver Learning, Inc., an Authorized American Heart Association Training Center. LifeSaver Learning has been an AHA training center for 28 years.
